About My Flavor It! Place

My Flavor It! Place is a small chain of family-owned and operated dessert shops located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We proudly serve premium real dairy Soft Serve Ice Cream, authentic Hawaiian Shaved Ice, and a wide variety of other delicious creations.

Our story began in 2003 in Downtown Lake Zurich, where we first opened as Uncle T’s. After a rebrand and a move just across the street, we became the My Flavor It! Place you know and love today. For 23 wonderful years, our Lake Zurich shop served as a hometown favorite before we made the difficult decision to close due to the sale of our building and new landlord changes.

In 2015, we opened our Downtown Wauconda location, recently celebrating our 10th year there! Two years later, we expanded to Downtown Palatine and Downtown Libertyville. After five great years, we closed Libertyville to focus on our other three locations, our growing family, and our expanding catering services, which now include a Dessert Trailer and Dessert Truck.

Each of our shops offers a true hometown feel, with walls lined with photos of our customers, families, and friends who’ve become part of our Flavor It Family. The colorful penguin paintings are a sight to see!

We offer an “If you can think it, we can create it” mentality and a fun, care-free environment for dessert lovers of all ages and we look forward to serving you soon!
